I am fascinated by nature and the protection of biodiversity. My knowledge of the mountain world, gathered with my experience as an alpinist, has drawn me to study microclimatic changes in the Alps and how organisms benefit from them. My Bachelor thesis focused on microclimate variation in internal microhabitats of Alpine rock ptarmigan (Lagopus muta helvetica) and Alpine rock partridge (Alectoris graeca) territories. For my Master thesis, I am following these two species’ movements to analyse their specific microclimate selection in response to predation risk and thermal stress.
