MSc project

Due to a depleted seed bank, many extensively managed meadows still show poor plant community. While seed addition on a harrowed or ploughed meadow is a valuable solution to enhance plant diversity, it is not clear if such soil disturbance methods negatively impact ground-dwelling invertebrates. The aim of my Master thesis is to investigate the effect of harrowing and ploughing on ground-dwelling spiders. This work is part of the wider lowland grassland project, see here.
