I put my field experience and my know-how at the service of different studies realized by members of the CB family. I'm sort of the field eyes of the CB scientists!

REGULAR WORK :

Large carnivores-ungulates - Collection of seasonal data by camera trapping throughout the Valais region (103 camera traps); sorting and database management.

Golden eagle - Daily check of the movements of the gps tagged birds (OrniTrack Control Panel). Main objectif is the early detection of possible problems that could occur in any of our study birds.

Bearded vulture - Population monitoring by field observation and photographic monitoring (active search for breeding pairs and monitoring of breeding season)

Peregrin falcon - Population monitoring (Valais & Chablais vaudois) by field observation (active search for breeding pairs and monitoring of breeding season)

Eagle owl - Population monitoring (Valais & Chablais vaudois) by nocturnal field observation (active search for breeding pairs and monitoring of breeding season)

Short-toed snake eagle - Population monitoring by field observation and photographic monitoring (active search for breeding pairs and monitoring of breeding season)

Hoopoe & Wryneck - Maintenance of Valais nest box park (approximately 650 nest boxes).

OCCASIONAL WORK :

Hoopoe fledgling project - radio-tracking of tagged young hoopoes and collection of relevant data (2022 - Rico Felder - Ian Ausprey).

Cliff nesting bird project – organization and direction of educational courses for the Valais mountain guides association (AVGM) as part of an awareness training with the goal of mitigating conflicts between mountain sport activities on cliffs (sport climbing, ice climbing, dry tooling etc.) and the presence of sensitive bird species nesting on rock faces (peregrine falcon - eagle-owl - bearded vulture - red-billed chough etc.).
